The Fix Tinkers are a totally one-off walkabout piece of performance art that was first created at Green Gathering in 2022.
The Tinkers themselves are a cross between car mechanics and medical doctors, with all the stresses, contemporary angles and slapstick humour to go with both of those professions!
You may find the Tinkers, who call themselves doctors, suddenly arrive by your side saying that they’ve been called to a medical emergency which they can’t find.
Seeing as they are there though, they may as well give you the ‘once over’ and you may end up having your shoes reinflated with a bike pump, have your joints lubricated or even recalibrated, or you could even be given a whole new lease of life with a collaborative ‘jump start’.
Without fail these characters will bring a smile to peoples faces with the extraordinary interactions, surprizing responses and unconventional remedies they have on offer.
These guys are hilarious. But they actually do give people a placebo effect. People are genuinely happier and more positive after a Fix Tinker consultation.
The Fix Tinkers have provided emergency care and feel-good check ups for hundreds of people at many events and festivals. They are available to book as a walkabout anytime.
