Spoons

Spoon gallery

Carving spoons during my off-grid lockdown experience became a way to mark significant moments. The process was similar to the scratching of notches on a wall: each spoon representing a particular challenge I faced during this time – from the struggle to  keep warm, to learning to harness the natural resources available to me.

The practice of carving became a meditation, an acceptance of each challenge as I learned to resolve things. You can see the spoons that I carved if you click on the gallery image.
